Perinton Ambulance is a New York State Department of Health certified Ambulance Service. We provide first response, treatment and transport of patients requiring medical attention as part of the 911 system. To achieve our mission, we provide both Advanced and Basic Life Support treatment.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) care is provided in life-threatening and serious medical circumstances by a Paramedic. Our ambulances are typically staffed with one Paramedic and one Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), providing coverage in all aspects of pre-hospital care. Paramedics perform advanced procedures including Intravenous (IV) access, administration of most medications, cardiac monitoring (following current American Heart Association guidelines), electrocardiograms (12 lead EKG), cardiac pacing, advanced airway management with end tidal capnography, and controlled substance administration for treatment of seizures, sedation and pain management.
