Community CPR Courses

The Heartsaver® CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course includes training on adult and child victims with an optional infant module available.
This course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training. If you need training to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements, please contact your employer to ensure you are selecting the proper course.

BLS CPR Courses

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.
The course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of settings, like EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters, as well as in-facility hospital providers, including nurses, physicians, PAs, dentists, and dental hygienists.
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card valid for two (2) years.
BLS courses are offered monthly and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete the contact form below if interested in attending a course at Perinton Ambulance.

Heartsaver First Aid


The Heartsaver® First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common emergencies, including how to recognize them, call for help, and perform lifesaving skills. Topics covered during this course include:
• First aid basics
• Medical emergencies
• Injury emergencies
• Environmental emergencies
• Preventing illness and injury
