About

Perinton Ambulance provides Advanced Life Support (Paramedic)-level emergency response to the Town of Perinton and Village of Fairport in Monroe County, New York. Our staff of Dispatchers, EMTs, and Paramedics provide around-the-clock service and answered over 4,500 requests for service in 2020.

Our fleet is comprised of five state-of-the-art ambulances, two quick response vehicles (“fly cars”), and an incident response & support trailer. Each ambulance is equipped with a Stryker EMS Power-Pro XT stretcher with XPS configuration and Power-LOAD cot fastener system.

Located in the southeast corner of the county, our district comprises approximately 35 square miles and borders Wayne County to the east and Ontario County to the south and south-east. The district is bisected by the Erie Canal, over which the historic lift bridge is a local landmark. Just north of the Canal is the CSX mainline, which sees nearly 50 freight and commuter trains daily. Major roadways include State Routes 31, 31F, 250, and Interstate 490. We serve a population of approximately 52,000 residents (as of the 2010 census) and countless businesses.

Within the district, our public safety partners include the Bushnell’s Basin, Egypt, and Fairport fire districts as well as the Fairport Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police.  All requests for emergency services are routed through the Emergency Communications Department, the primary 9-1-1 public safety answering point for Monroe County, including the City of Rochester.
